At the Brooklyn Autism Center being active and known in our local community if part of our overall mission. We believe strongly in supporting a world who understands, includes, and celebrates children on the autism spectrum.
Each year, our staff does presentations to local businesses and organizations to educate others on the unique and complex challenges children on the spectrum experience.
We work with public and private schools to create autism friendly activities and collaborative experiences to teach typical children the skills to befriend and support children with autism in their community.
Additionally, the Brooklyn Autism Center welcomes visitors from the community, including legal aid specialists, police officers, public school teachers, autism advocates, doctors, and others, who share information about their professions and learn about autism at the same time.
