Rachael Atherley, M.S., BCBA, LBA-NY

Clinical Director

Rachael has over 10 years of experience working with individuals with autism and has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for 8 years. After graduating from Lehman College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Rachael began her career in ABA as a Registered Behavior Technician. She then moved on to receive a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Drexel University in 2020. Rachael has worked in a variety of different settings including non-profits, home-based care, and private special education, delivering ABA services to a wide range of populations. They have experience working with folks on the spectrum between the ages of ages 3-22 as well as folks with genetic disorders and other developmental disabilities. Rachael obtained her Board Certification in 2021 and has held multiple roles since then including a social skills program coordinator, lead behavior analyst, and director of crisis and behavior management. Their passion is delivering treatment through an intersectional and ethical behavior analytic framework to ensure socially valid outcomes. Rachael has presented at state conferences and has provided professional group trainings on equity and inclusion, assent-based treatment and the overall ethics of our field. Rachael has also served as an adjunct lecturer at SUNY New Paltz teaching Ethics in ABA to graduate students and serves as the chairperson of NYSABA’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Committee.
